With over 18 years of experience in structuring complex M&A transactions, Jaime excelled at Evercore Partners Mexico for a decade, overseeing deals exceeding 3.4 billion dollars in value across industries like bottling, QSR, retail, and Real Estate. Noteworthy achievements include leading Mexico’s first FIBRA (Reits-like) IPO: FIBRA UNO, alongside two other FIBRA IPOs and multiple FOs. Jaime also serves on the Boards of various companies and holds a degree in Economics from ITAM.
Viviana, an Economist with 10+ years’ experience, navigates investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and private debt. Notable roles include managing transactions across diverse sectors at Evercore, and leading MDIF-NY’s Latin American PE/Debt portfolio for 4 years. She oversaw 15+ companies in 8 countries with an impact investment focus and launched a VC portfolio. Viviana also serves on three company boards and holds an MBA from Cornell.
Jesús, with 25+ years’ expertise in private equity, financial structures, and public policies, served 13 years on “Fondo de Fondos” board, analyzing 50+ investments. He represented the Mexican Ministry of Finance, advising on finance policies and risk management strategies for entities like Nafin and Bancomext. At Banobras, he led the Energy and Environment Department, overseeing 30+ transactions worth over 60,000 million pesos. Jesus holds an Economist degree from ITAM.
Teofilo has broad experience in investment banking, project, and business management, honed at a family office. He specializes in financial analysis, investor relations, and project engagement across diverse sectors. As an independent professional, he offers support in restructuring, strategic analysis, project financing, and M&A, including work on Walmart Mexico’s gas stations project. Teofilo facilitates the entry of American retail brands into the market, crafting business plans, marketing strategies, and distribution channels. He holds a Financial degree from ITAM.
Sven, holding degrees in Political Science and International Relations from ITAM, boasts 17 years of experience spanning Political Communication, Business Administration, and Finance. Throughout his career, he has collaborated in creating, developing, and implementing numerous research projects and public policy designs, along with managing corporate governance for various firms. He possesses expertise in both qualitative and quantitative project analysis.
Sofia Arozarena, a seasoned corporate and project finance attorney, brings over 12 years of experience, having served in-house roles at renowned multinational firms including Gonzalez Calvillo, Shell, Deutsche Bank, and Sanofi. Her expertise spans structuring and negotiating commercial agreements, managing investment projects, overseeing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as handling corporate governance matters. Sofia joined MRII in 2023 as in-house legal counsel, bolstering support for the founding partners.
